Ring Sizing Guide
It is important that your ring size measurement is correct. We recommend this to be checked by a reputable jeweller using a jeweller's metal ring sizer. Please do not use string, paper or thin plastic sizers as these are not accurate.
It is important to note there can be a different ring size required for narrower or wider ring shanks (bands). If possible, it is recommended to use a ring sizer similar to the finished size of your ring or advise us of the ring sizer width used and we will make the appropriate adjustment. For example, wider rings may require a slight increase in size compared to a slimmer ring (approximately half to one size depending on your finger shape). Kindly contact us if you require further clarification or advice to ensure we have an accurate measurement.
The size we have given on our website can also be slightly different to your size depending on the shape of your finger.
If you have a round ring that fits well on your finger and you have a Vernier caliper, this tool will give you an accurate measurement of the internal diameter of the ring.
There are many ring sizer charts on the internet with conversions for different countries. We have supplied a ‘ring size comparison chart’. based on the many ring sizer charts available on the internet. We use A - Z at studio 303 pty ltd.
A firm plastic ring sizer with a clip to lock in the size is also available on the internet for just a few dollars. When using the strip place it comfortably around the base of the finger where the ring will sit, lock it in and check you can take it over your knuckle.
Another way to check the size is to take a ring that is perfectly round, use a metal ruler and take an accurate measurement of the internal diameter of the ring (measuring across the centre). If, for example the measurement is 21.5mm diameter the fraction (.5) is important to know, not a close estimate but exact because the circumference of the ring is 3.14 times the diameter.
Finger sizes can change during the day, depending on the weather, fluid retention, air conditioning, breast feeding, medical conditions, exercise and other factors. Please check the finger size a few different times (particularly morning and evening) to ensure the size you are ordering is correct.
